Associate
After graduating from Western Law in 2012, Arakua articled and worked as an Associate Lawyer at a Stratford law firm. In 2015, Arakua opened Lamptey Law, where she was the principal lawyer for five years. While in private practice, Arakua represented clients in custody, access, and child protection matters before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. Arakua also represented child clients as an Office of the Children’s Lawyer Agent. In 2020, Arakua joined the Huron-Perth Children’s Aid Society as Legal Counsel. Arakua has had the pleasure of volunteering for several boards, including: the Havergal College Old Girl’s Association, Gallery Stratford, Choices for Change, the Stratford Chefs School, Partner in Employment, and Same World, Same Chance. Arakua enjoys puzzles and music in her spare time. In 2026, Arakua joined Dunphy Burdett LLP as an Associate Lawyer practicing in Family Law.
